The Valparaiso Vikings closed out their regular season with a hard-fought 21-14 loss to the Lake Central Indians on Friday night, October 17th. Despite a gritty effort on both sides of the ball, Valpo couldn't contain Lake Central’s strong rushing attack and a game-changing 4th-quarter strike.

The Indians took their first lead of the night in dramatic fashion when quarterback Cameron Reddick connected with Frank Verda on a 75-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. The explosive play swung the momentum in Lake Central’s favor, and they never looked back.

Valparaiso, now 2-7 on the season, battled throughout but came up short against the now 3-6 Lake Central squad. The Vikings will look to regroup as they prepare for postseason play.

Friday’s matchup marked the final PC3 regular season broadcast of 2025. But the action isn’t over yet — be sure to join us on Halloween night, Friday, October 31st, as the Vikings take on the Michigan City Wolves in sectional play!
