PC3 students recently enjoyed a special trip to Chicago to attend It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the American Blues Theatre, one of the city’s longest-running holiday traditions.

The performance transported students back to 1944, bringing the classic Frank Capra story to life in the style of an old-time radio broadcast. The show featured live foley sound effects, vintage-style radio commercials, beloved characters, and even milk and cookies following the performance.

After the show, students had the unique opportunity to speak with cast members about voice acting, sound design, and their creative process, while sharing their favorite moments from the production. The experience offered a meaningful blend of holiday entertainment and hands-on learning tied directly to students’ interests in media and performance.

PC3 extends a sincere thank you to the American Blues Theatre for providing an unforgettable and educational holiday experience for our students.
