PC3 students recently enjoyed a special trip to Chicago to attend It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the American Blues Theatre, one of the city’s longest-running holiday traditions.
The performance transported students back to 1944 as the beloved Frank Capra story was presented in the style of an old-time radio broadcast. The production featured live foley sound effects, vintage radio-style commercials, and classic characters that brought the story to life in a unique and engaging way. Students even enjoyed milk and cookies following the show, adding to the festive experience.
In addition to the performance, students had the opportunity to speak with cast members, learning more about voice acting and sound design while sharing their favorite moments from the production. The experience provided a meaningful blend of holiday entertainment and hands-on learning connected to their studies.
PC3 extends a sincere thank you to the American Blues Theatre for providing students with a memorable and educational holiday experience.
