PC3 Media Students Capture the Excitement of Popcorn Fest

PC3 Media students were once again in the middle of the action during this past weekend’s Valparaiso Popcorn Fest, putting their skills to work while covering one of the community’s biggest annual celebrations.

Despite the summer heat, the PC3 crew brought their A-game to the 2026 Popcorn Parade, capturing the excitement, energy and pageantry for viewers. Students took on a variety of professional production roles, including announcing, sideline reporting, camera operation and photography.

The coverage didn’t stop when the parade ended. Throughout the festival, several PC3 students were also out and about interviewing vendors and capturing footage of the many activities and events taking place. Their work will be featured in an upcoming Popcorn Fest montage.

We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm these students showed throughout the weekend. Opportunities like Popcorn Fest give PC3 students valuable hands-on experience while allowing them to help tell the stories of their community.
